| Wordpress have themes that you can use that are easy to upload, you just basically click on them and your blog has changed. But I want to upload one of their themes from their directory, which is different. I can download a theme onto my computer, but don't know how to upload it onto my blog. Thanks all. |

| Hi Molly, sorry I never finished answering your other question, I was traveling for a few days. To edit the pages from your navigation bar (the tabs), go to your Dashboard, click Manage, then click Pages. You should see a list of your pages, which should correspond to the tabs. Choose one of the pages (e.g. About) and click "Edit" (to the right of the page name). Write stuff there, and save the page. Now when you click the "About" tab, you should see the changes. To upload a new theme, there are some basic steps: 1. Download a free FTP client. If you are using Windows (not Mac), you could use FileZilla. If you run Mac, I suggest Cyberduck. 2. Read this so that you know how to set up your FTP client: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_FileZilla 3. Using the FTP client, upload the theme folder from your computer and drop it into the remote "themes" folder (which you can only access through FTP). The "themes" folder is inside a folder called "wp content". Then you can log into your Wordpress dashboard. In the Presentation > Themes tab, you can find the theme you uploaded and activate it. Let me know if you need more specific info. I struggled a lot making my first Wordpress blog so I know how confusing it can be. |
